Inside the live chat
This is the main Cafe Chat window, connected to the ChatLife IRC network through KiwiIRC. You join the public rooms the moment you pick a nickname, including #India for general chat, #Allnitecafe for the late-night crowd and #ChatLife, the network's lounge.
Tap any nickname for a private conversation. Type /join #room to visit or create another room, /nick newname to change your name and /ignore nick to hide someone.
Better on a phone
On mobile, use the full-screen chat. It fills your screen like an app and keeps the message box above your keyboard. Add it to your home screen from the browser menu for one-tap access.
Getting started
Pick a nickname
Type any name in the chat window. No email, phone number or password.
Say hello
You land in the room straight away. Say hi and mention where you are from.
Go private or go full screen
Tap a name to chat one-to-one, or open the full-screen chat for an app-like view.
